An apartment tenant's new tanning lamp is being blamed for sparking a two-alarm fire that engulfed a portion of an Orange County apartment complex Monday night, according to FLORIDA TODAY news partner WKMG Local 6 News.

Firefighters responded to flames at the Fountains at Lee Vista located off Semoran Blvd., Monday night.

Officials told Local 6 News that a man apparently left his tanning lamp on and it began to burn some of his clothes. When he tried to put out the flames, he caught himself on fire.
