A SUNBED manufacturer headed into Europe to put its towel on the German market.

Sunquest Tanning Systems, of Denton, Tameside, showcased its new, automated UV-free spray-tanning booth at Solaria 2005, an industry exhibition staged in Cologne.

The company showed the booth, which is the first of its kind in the industry, plus two of its top-selling vertical tanning units in an attempt to continue the recent progress it has made around the world.

Managing director Tony Webster, who headed a £4m takeover in July, said: "Solaria Cologne was our first overseas show and was integral to our drive to develop export markets.
