FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- Utahns under 18 could soon be banned from using tanning beds in Davis County.

The Davis County Health Board is expected to vote on several regulations today, including the ban.

It's the first set of regulations, which includes rules for sanitation, safety and the tanning bed ban.

The board's committee that drafted the regulations originally only required parental consent for younger tanners. But health officials say as the committee did more research into the effects on children, they became convinced they should have stricter regulations.
